We agreed on trialling for a week following these steps:
- Option 1: small pocket-size notebook (Pro: has everything in one place; Con: bulky)
- Option 2: note cards: (Pro: less bulky than the notebook; Con: easy to lose)
The notes are then transferred to a master task list (preferably Google Tasks so they can be accessed from anywhere) and Google Calendar (for deadlines).
We will also experiment with a fixed time schedule for accomplishing work during the day, with the goal of not working after dinner. Depending on what type of person you are, it might be better to do your daily review in the morning, or the evening before. Whichever you chose, the important thing is to stick to a certain time to do it, and make it a habit.
